The Making of a Microsoft Powerhouse: Celebrating 8 years of Transparity

As Transparity celebrates the 8th anniversary of our founding, we’re proud to take a look back at the key milestones along our journey to 2023 – as the UK’s most accredited Microsoft partner.

8 years to remember

Transparity was founded by a couple of Microsoft evangelists, David Jobbins and Colin McAndrew in 2015. Since then, we’ve been on a path of exceptional year-on-year growth powered by a one-of-a-kind culture. From big milestones like growing our technical practices across the full Microsoft stack to achievements that made us proud like hitting and maintaining a +70 customer NPS – we’ve got a lot to celebrate!

Take a look at some of the highlights of the last 8 years in the video below.

The measure of a powerhouse

Rooted in a passion for the transformational power of Microsoft technology, Transparity has grown to become the UK’s most accredited partner. With an award-winning culture and a base of customers we’ve partnered with for years, Transparity is like no other.

We measure our success in three ways; our world-class customer and employee NPS, our unwavering turnover growth year on year, and reaching the top spot in Microsoft accreditation.

This year, we’ve grown from strength to strength with some exciting milestones along the way – including launching Transparity Dynamics, achieving MXDR status for our security service, releasing our first ESG and achieving our 6th Microsoft Solution Designation.

And, to put the cherry on the cake of an already exciting year – we have been recognised as “Outstanding” and one of the best companies to work for in the UK by Best Companies. This places us #7 in the UK technology sector, #7 in the mid-sized company category and #6 of all businesses in the South-West region.

As we venture into the next chapter, we’re thankful for the hard work and commitment of #TeamTransparity and excited to embrace our next phase of growth.

The next chapter: the UK’s most accredited Microsoft partner and beyond

As we begin our next financial year, we’re excited to share some big developments that reflect our ongoing commitment to all that makes Transparity special. This year, we’re betting big on our specialist technology practices and investing in the people that deliver the outstanding service we’re known for.

To fulfil this vision and build on the success of the past 8 years, Paul Bolt will be moving into the role of CEO and David Jobbins will become our Executive Chairman.

Since joining #TeamTransparity as MD, Paul has inspired us as a visionary leader, setting out the path to continued growth in a way that is true to our core values. His extensive experience within the Microsoft ecosystem both during his time at Rackspace and as Microsoft UK’s own CMO, has equipped him to take Transparity to new heights. Under his leadership, we are committed to building on the success of the team and the purity of our pureplay Microsoft business model – as the UK’s most accredited and leading expert in Microsoft Cloud technology.

”I could not be more thrilled to take on the role of CEO. It is truly an honour. As I say all the time ‘teams win’ and I look forward to winning with Team Transparity in my new role”

Paul Bolt, CEO at Transparity

As Paul takes the reigns of CEO, our visionary co-founder David Jobbins hones his focus in on developing our key customer relationships and extraordinary culture as Executive Chairman. After founding Transparity on the foundation of a love of Microsoft, David has remained at the core of what makes us an outstanding place to work and do business with. From humble beginnings David has guided us from strength to strength to become the UK’s most accredited partner.

While the decision to move on from his role as CEO has been a hard one to make, his trust in Paul and belief in his vision has made the change easy.

“The last 8 years have been an incredible journey for us to reach the size and scale we are today. Now is the time to strengthen for the future and so I’m really pleased to be handing the CEO position on to Paul as I step into my new role as Executive Chairman. This will give me more time to focus on what makes Transparity special, our outstanding culture and team, plus incredible customers.”

So, as we launch into our 9th year, we’re committed to building on the success of the past 8 years and leaning in to what makes us unlike any other Microsoft partner.

We’ll be investing further in our security, Dynamics and app innovation practices while developing and growing our modern work and Azure offerings too. And, as we take the next steps in our journey, we’ll make sure the culture that sets us apart is strengthened so we continue to be home to the UK’s top talent and offer our customers unbeatable services.
