Azure migration

As a principle, Transparity follow the guidance set out within Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). This framework encourages the consideration of a number of areas over various stages to ensure that standards are aligned with accepted best practices when moving or creating resources in Azure.

The framework covers various stages from defining a strategy to managing and governing the migrated workloads.

Our migration approach focuses on the five main areas of migration implementation:

Define strategy and objectives​​

Transparity start the migration journey by understanding your requirements and desired outcomes in detail to ensure migration projects provide value across all business areas, including Governance, Commercial, Technical, Security, Access and Risk.

Scoping and

We'll gain an understanding of your workloads in technical detail to ensure that once moved to Azure, they provide the performance you require whilst reducing management overhead and optimising costs. We also use this phase as an opportunity to understand your internal skilling and Cloud Operating Model to ensure you can support the workloads once migrated.

Implement a Landing Zone

This phase includes the creation of Azure services that provide the foundations for your migrated workloads whilst ensuring best practices are followed and implemented against common design areas, such as Networking, Identity, Governance, Security, Operations and Disaster Recovery.

Migrate workloads to new Landing Zone

Workloads are migrated into the previously-created best practice Landing Zone based on a Migration Plan and objectives taken from the initial phases to ensure success.


Once your workloads are moved and running in Azure, we'll work closely with you to ensure each workload is tested and optimised for Security, Cost Management and Governance, providing you with confidence as you continue on your Microsoft Cloud journey.

Azure Cloud Solutions Provider (CSP) Managed Services

Our position as a leading direct Microsoft CSP provider and pureplay Microsoft partner allows for the provision of your Microsoft Azure infrastructure environment in a flexible and cost-effective manner. This offering incorporates a range of value-added services as standard – such as inclusive support, monitoring, and patching – collectively known as our “Azure CSP Managed Service”. We are developing rapidly through the supply of market-first value innovation; specifically, inclusive value-added services and a high-quality engagement as standard.

Available for customers via our Cloud Management Platform:

  • Centralised cost management and insights, including consumption monitoring, workload/environment management and breakdown, cost projections and budget recommendations
  • Support incident visibility and SLA monitoring/insights
  • Cloud management: submit provisioning requests, power and schedule management, centralised tag management
  • Role-based access control
  • Simple setup and deployment, no cost/resource footprint within your environment


All key features, plus the following:

  • Unlimited, all-inclusive telephone, email and remote support during business hours (8am-6pm Monday to Friday)
  • Support covers your Azure platform and operating environment, provisioned workloads and services, Microsoft Operating System, and applications
  • Access to Technical Lead resources to assist you with technology strategy and planning
  • Monitoring and alerting during business hours, plus proactive remediation of alerts
  • Automated patching, including remediation of failed patches
  • Guaranteed SLAs as low as a 1-hour response for business-critical incidents
  • Inclusive Service requests
  • An assigned Service Delivery Manager (SDM) for incident escalation


All features in the Standard tier, plus the following:

  • 24×7 inclusive support (based on call handling, with escalation as needed)
