The challenge
In line with its parent company’s SAP and Microsoft strategy, GI Group has managed its finances using Microsoft Navision. This included maintaining local test and development environments, while the global group owned the production instance.
GI Group UK’s acquisition strategy highlighted the need for a UK-based partner. Transparity was recommended by its parent company in Italy.

The Solution
Transparity quickly got up to speed and supported GI Group with onboarding two acquisitions. This included migrating data and transactions to Navision and integrating an Accounts Payable package at short notice.
The agreement includes ongoing support and maintenance, alongside a time-and-materials model for project-based work.

The Impact

With Transparity providing fast, responsive support and a flexible engagement model, the business has been able to seamlessly onboard new acquisitions, reduce operational pressure on internal teams, and increase confidence in its finance systems. What was once a potential point of risk is now a stable foundation, with a clear pathway to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central in the cloud enabling future agility, efficiency, and continued expansion.
