Project Overview
Honey Brothers, the UK’s leading supplier of tree-care and forestry equipment, had outgrown its existing systems. With increasing product complexity, growing order volumes and a programme of significant change underway — including a new website, warehouse relocation and cloud migration — the business needed to digitally transform to support continued success.
Transparity delivered a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solution fully integrated with the company’s e-commerce website, with specialist apparel functionality through K3|pebblestone and real-time warehouse operations through Tasklet handheld scanning. The result is a single, integrated platform across all core operations, giving Honey Brothers the visibility, stability and scalability to continue growing.
The Challenge
As the business grew, Honey Brothers recognised the need to digitally transform to support continued success. Existing systems were outdated and could not keep up with increasing product complexity and order volumes.
As a sales-led organisation, less focus had previously been placed on back-office and supply chain processes. This created operational inefficiencies and limited scalability. At the same time, the business was undergoing significant change, including launching a new website, relocating its warehouse and moving to the cloud.
“We were really struggling on the system we were using – it was very old and we’d far outgrown it. We knew we had a huge amount of change ahead of us, so choosing the right partner was very important.” — Harri Breary, Operations Director, Honey Brothers
The Solution
Honey Brothers implemented a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solution, delivered by Transparity, to create a single, integrated platform across the business.
The solution supports all core operations including finance, sales ordering, purchasing, stock management and warehousing. It is fully integrated with the company’s e-commerce website, enabling seamless front-to-back operations.
Specialist functionality was added through K3|pebblestone to manage apparel variants such as size and colour, while Tasklet handheld scanning enabled real-time warehouse operations and accurate stock management.
Transparity designed, customised and deployed the solution, supported by training and on-site expertise during implementation. The business has since transitioned to an ongoing support model.
“It’s been a top-to-bottom business transformation. The project has brought all our core systems and processes together so everything can now be managed effectively and runs smoothly.” — Harri Breary, Operations Director, Honey Brothers
The platform has removed previous operational barriers, enabling the leadership team to introduce new initiatives and support continued growth. Future plans include extending capabilities with customer and marketing functionality through additional integrations.
