Chemist4U, one of the UK’s largest digital pharmacies, was experiencing rapid growth — but its e-commerce operations were becoming increasingly complex. High transaction volumes, demanding delivery expectations across multiple sales channels, and a lack of real-time inventory visibility were limiting efficiency and financial insight. A failing ERP implementation added further urgency to finding a reliable solution.

Integrated with Chemist4U’s Magento e-commerce platform and equipped with Tasklet handheld scanning devices, Business Central now acts as the central engine powering operations across the entire business.
The Challenge
Rapid growth led to increasing complexity in Chemist4U’s e-commerce operations, including managing high transaction volumes and meeting demanding delivery expectations across multiple sales channels.
The business lacked real-time visibility of inventory, meaning margins could only be calculated periodically following stock takes. This limited financial insight and operational efficiency.
An initial ERP implementation had also gone off track, creating additional risk and urgency for a reliable solution.

The Solution
Transparity began with a discovery phase to define the solution design and identify the best approach for implementation. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was deployed as a unified platform for sales, purchasing, inventory and warehouse management.
The solution integrates directly with Chemist4U’s Magento-based e-commerce platform, enabling real-time communication between systems. Business Central now acts as the central engine powering operations across the business.
Tasklet handheld devices were implemented to optimise warehouse processes, improving picking speed and accuracy. Additional integrations and API capabilities enable the business to connect specialist tools and scale efficiently.
