Project Overview
Munitions identification software was developed by Transparity with Fenix Insight for the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) to help stockpile managers determine which munitions breach the Convention on Cluster Munitions, overcoming inconsistent markings and scattered reference data.
The team built the Cluster Munition Identification Tool (CMID), a searchable, graphics-led database designed for field use that guides users to the correct codes and classifications; the project reflects our App Innovation expertise. The tool is now available via GICHD and is used internationally to support treaty implementation.
