Project Overview
Identity, a world-leading events agency, needed to rapidly onboard and secure large, fluctuating teams for high-profile events. Transparity implemented Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility + Security tools—Azure AD Premium, Endpoint Manager and Windows Autopilot—delivering streamlined provisioning and strengthened identity and access management.
The solution enabled faster user creation, minimal IT involvement, and scalable governance for devices and identities. The project illustrates our identity and access management services and device management solutions, supporting secure growth and efficient mobilisation at scale.
The Challenge
Due to the scale and profile of the events Identity deliver, their staffing needs can fluctuate significantly – at times mobilising teams of over 1,000 within a matter of weeks. So, traditional methods of onboarding, delivering identities, devices and applications were extremely time consuming and inefficient, overloading their team.
Given the profile of some of the events and the clients who require them, for example international organisations like the G7 and NATO, they needed to be certain their security infrastructure was airtight. Any vulnerabilities in their governance and security could make them a potential target for a range of bad actors, so they were keen to ensure their onboarding process was streamlined and secure.
Identity were looking for a partner they could trust in the identity and device management space to deliver this project. After assessing a range of Microsoft Partners, they turned to Transparity as a highly accredited pureplay partner with stand-out recommendations from past projects. They felt our pureplay approach and close relationship with Microsoft best suited their needs, rather than the sort of multi-vendor service providers they had worked with historically.
The Solution
To secure and streamline Identity’s onboarding process, we suggested leveraging the tools already included in their existing licensing. They already had Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility and Security suite which includes Azure AD Premium, Endpoint Manager and Autopilot.
Our Modern Work practice got to work with Identity to scoping the project and then deploying the technologies to deliver a smooth onboarding experience. By utilising Azure AD Premium, AutoPilot and Endpoint Manager, user identities can be created in just a fraction of the time it used to. Plus, the IT team no longer needs to be involved in providing devices or applications, freeing up their time to focus on Identity’s next phase of growth and innovation.
The Outcome
The result of this project is that Identity now have a fast, secure way of mobilising large numbers of team members helping them maintain their agility and supporting them as they continue to grow. Now, they can focus on delivering impressive events at scale, without being held back by a lengthy and inefficient onboarding and offboarding processes.
Identity can scale their device estate and user identities up and down effortlessly, while maintaining the strict standards of security and governance expected by their high-profile clients. All of this, with little to no involvement from IT, allowing them to cut costs on third-party IT provisioning and giving their internal team the time back to focus on the future of Identity.
