Applying Azure cloud migration best practices, Transparity enhanced Chevin’s existing setup and aligned it to Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework, preparing for full workload migration. The solution standardised Chevin’s cloud platform, enabling migration of virtual machines and data, removal of on-premises servers, and stronger security and compliance. Ongoing support is delivered through Azure CSP Managed Service—part of our Managed IT Services—providing monitoring, patching and guidance as Chevin scales globally.
The Challenge
Chevin were looking for a Microsoft Cloud specialist to help them design, implement and migrate their platform to an Azure infrastructure that could easily support future business growth.
Chevin had already started building their Azure environment and migrating workloads. However, ensuring the foundations of the environment adhered to best practices would be key to a successful platform migration, as well as removing complexity in preparation for managing the environment and migrating customer environments.
After being referred by Microsoft and learning about our offerings, we were chosen as a result of our technical expertise and demonstrable commitment to great service. Partnering with Transparity would allow for a scalable, secure and strong environment to be built and developed upon in the future.
The Solution
In order to migrate the customer environments effectively, a standardised cloud platform was needed. We enhanced the existing Microsoft Azure environment to align it to Microsoft’s best practice framework known as CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework), providing an environment ready for the full migration of all virtual machines and data from the previous infrastructure platform. This removed the need for on-premises servers and reduced ongoing maintenance and management, whilst providing a foundation for Chevin to grow and expand without the limits associated with a traditional hardware solution. Azure also provided security and compliance capabilities, which has assisted Chevin in meeting its customers’ requirements.
Chevin were also keen to establish a partnership that would afford them advice, guidance and support when needed. Transparity’s Azure CSP Managed Service was an ideal solution providing a cohesive package including support, monitoring and patching, making administration and management for Chevin easier, less time consuming and cost effective.
The Outcome
Chevin now have a standardised, best practice, cloud-based solution which has allowed for the migration of Chevin’s customers to a singular Microsoft Azure Cloud platform. Utilising Microsoft Azure, they have a dependable and repeatable scalable model for their global customer base to reside within.
