Transparity are helping to create green spaces for people and wildlife with the Woodland Trust

We are partnering with the Woodland Trust to support their vital work to increase native tree cover in the UK, through their Emergency Tree Fund.

The tree planting scheme provides local authorities with the support they need to create more green spaces for communities to enjoy, as well as contributing to carbon reduction by planting native trees. Through our commitment, Transparity will as a minimum target enable local authorities to plant 2,000 native UK and Ireland Sourced and Grown trees (UKISG).

Support for the Woodland Trust is part of Transparity’s ongoing commitment to create a sustainable, greener cloud with Microsoft.

The Woodland Trust is the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity, dedicated to protecting and restoring our ancient woods and trees and planting new woodland, creating havens for wildlife and for people to enjoy.

The Woodland Trust’s work is essential to the nation’s fight against the climate and nature crises. Woods and trees remove CO2 from the atmosphere and could reduce as much as 25% of current CO2 emissions from fossil fuels by 2030. However, it’s not just about carbon, native woods and trees also help to reduce flooding and support biodiversity by providing vital habitat and food sources for native

Pip Greensmith, head of partnerships, Woodland Trust said: “Our focus at the Woodland Trust is to continue to increase our native tree canopy, creating a UK where trees and woods thrive for the benefit of climate, nature and people. Support from businesses allows this to become a reality, through such initiatives as our Emergency Tree Fund.

“Transparity are also a preferred Woodland Trust supplier, so it is a fantastic opportunity for us to work together to deliver this project.”

“We are committed to our new working approach  – Winning from Anywhere®, we believe this approach provides opportunities for our people to do great work and integrate this better into their lives and to continue to deliver great outcomes for our customers.  To be able to demonstrate this commitment and underpin it with this great Partnership with the Woodland Trust is truly exciting”
