Mental Health and Wellbeing at Transparity

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) 2022 and this year’s official theme is ‘loneliness’. Every year, MHAW calls on us to consider how we understand, talk about and support mental health and wellbeing in our professional and private lives. With a special focus on the challenge of loneliness we’re looking back on how we support our people and how we can continue to develop and promote wellbeing in Team Transparity.

In early May 2020 we hosted our first ever Wellbeing Wednesday session, and they’ve been a weekly fixture ever since. So far, we’ve delivered and facilitated 101 sessions with over 1,200 participations and over 65% of our team members participating at least once during this time.

“The Wednesday Wellbeing meeting is my favourite event in my diary. It gives me the opportunity to chat to people outside of my department, it gives me a break so I’m much more productive at work and much happier after work when spending time with my little girl.”

Lauren Key, Microsoft 365 Trainer

The mental health and wellbeing of our people is fundamental to our company culture and ethos, so our People and Culture team have launched a range of benefits and programmes. From on-demand independent mental health services and Winning from Anywhere® Workouts twice a week, to support from the wider team via Wellbeing Wednesday and weekly shout-outs, maintaining the wellbeing of the people who make up Team Transparity is a daily priority.

“Here at Transparity we believe that our culture differentiates us and that shows through in the openness, compassion and support I see team members show each and every week, it is both humbling and inspiring.”

Neil Tune, Head of People & Culture
