Staffline is the UK and Ireland’s largest outsourced workforce provider. Staffline supports staffing for the food production, logistics, manufacturing, and automotive sectors working with well-known brands. They resource, recruit, and mobilise workforces as needed to meet fluctuating demands with specialised staff.

The challenge

Staffline’s team were struggling to get the most out of their existing cloud infrastructure. Their existing setup included legacy applications and an extensive SQL estate which sat at the core of many of their day-to-day activities. However, many on the team found inefficiencies using their legacy applications and their datacentre infrastructure was large and extremely complex.

Given the complexity of the existing systems and infrastructure, the team at Staffline knew that migrating and optimising their new infrastructure would be no small task, and they’d need the help of an Azure expert.

Staffline were looking for a solution and a partner they could trust to complete the work seamlessly and be the supportive partner they needed to respond to requests quickly. We were recommended to them by Microsoft as an Azure Expert MSP and Gold Partner and chosen by Staffline to become their cloud partner.

The solution

We worked closely with Staffline to deploy a full Azure migration and optimisation with the ongoing support of our Azure Premium Managed Service.

Staffline were confident in not only our Azure capabilities, as the most accredited pureplay partner in the UK, but also in our cultural fit for their team. We’re focused on delivering the most supportive cloud experience possible, with flexibility and understanding of customer challenges core to our work.

We got to work, performing a ‘lift and shift’ of their existing infrastructure to Azure, optimising and rationalising along the way. As we moved their resources to the cloud we reviewed the settings to ensure their resources are available when they’re needed, but not running and adding to their costs when they’re not.

We also established their environment in line with security best practices and ensured it maintained compliance and governance standards. Our ongoing premium managed service provides continued support for their team, keeping their cloud environment optimised and meeting their needs.

The outcome

As a result of this project, Staffline has a simplified more reliable, cost-effective and secure environment to grow their service. Their applications and data factory have been simplified and optimised, making their everyday work faster and easier.
