We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager to become a critical part of our new DevOps function

About the role 

The Technical Product Manager will be be joining a newly-formed DevOps team, becoming responsible for the product management of the Transparity Cloud Management Platform. You might currently be a Junior Product Manager and looking for the next step up, or perhaps you are in a software engineering role but looking to diversify;  it’s an exciting time with an abundance of opportunity ahead. 


What you’ll be doing on a day-to-day basis 

Our Cloud Management platform is central to the future growth of the business so you will work closely with other departments (both technical and non-technical),  as well as be comfortable working with Microsoft technologies.  Solid Cloud Management technical knowledge, communication and collaboration are cornerstones of this role.

To manage the platform successfully, you’ll be:

  • Building working relationships with the Leadership, Development and marketing teams… and of course, our customers!
  • Researching the features we develop and proactively and effectively gather feedback from customers, both internally and externally
  • You’ll provide thought leadership every day as you support the business develop new technologies around the Cloud Management platform. You’ll share your thoughts along with release notes with the wider team
  • You will help set context, give a view on market conditions and effectively translate requirements into the development backlog
  • You’ll use Agile methodology to prioritise functionality for development on a sprint basis
  • You’ll be familiar with the principles of marketing, and will collaborate with the team to comfortable develop collateral
  • You’ll be confidently presenting the product and its features to a multitude of stakeholders, building a good rapport with our customers and prospects

 

About you

Here’s what else we’re looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Cloud Management platforms, Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps

  • It’s advantageous if you have gained your Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certificate

  • You’ll have worked in a similar role in an MSP or software engineering environment

  • You’re able to quickly switch from technical to non-technical depending on your audience, as you help to translate customer needs to technical requirements.

  • You’ve worked closely with Marketing teams before, so understand its principles and how critical it is to the company’s success

  • You’ll be experienced with Agile methodologies

  •  Strong written and verbal presentation skills are essential
  • You have the legal right to work in the UK
  • You’re happy to undergo a DBS check
  • You’re comfortable working from home but also to travelling to our Dorset office for occasional meetings (when safe to do so)
