About the role
To provide a consistent, best practice driven experience for on-boarding customers to Transparity’s Managed Security Service and Managed Security Product offerings; providing technically sound support and implementation services, and setting the foundation for an outstanding experience during the high-impact period of change that adopting new managed services can introduce.
You will implement Transparity’s security services according to our security blueprint, working alongside our Service Desk and Security Operations Centre (SOC) teams. You will bear responsibility for ensuring that Security pre-requisites and minimum technical requirements are addressed and that client requirements are captured effectively during the transition from the varied security postures we encounter during the onboarding process. This role makes you the primary technical point of contact during the on-boarding phase, responsible for aligning new or existing customers to a Microsoft and industry best practice driven security posture, with the support of our team behind you to develop relationships that will last.
You will work closely with our Security Service Delivery Manager (SDM), per-client Project Managers, and will ensure that each on-boarding is a successful experience for the customer resulting in updated processes, continuous best practice adherence, and positive transition to business-as-usual support delivered by the Transparity SOC.
This is an exciting role where you will get to know new clients and their infrastructures. You will develop your own technical knowledge as well as project delivery skills through the guidance of the SOC Manager and the supporting team.
Your main responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Maintaining and building customer relationships through regular contact.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the project engagement.
Deliver security-focused projects as per agreed statement of works using the Transparity playbooks.
Working with the customer to identify and overcome risks and blockers to the on-boarding process.
Working with the SDM and Project Manager to ensure we are delivering to agreed timelines.
Assist the SDM and Project Manager to overcome issues.
Act as the primary point of technical assistance to colleagues during the transition from on-boarding to BAU support.
Ensure technical process documentation and customer communication documents are up-to-date, accurate, and follow best practices.
Create technical overview documentation of customers’ estates.
Ensure customer documentation and process guides are updated as required.
Provide expert technical assistance to new customers during the on-boarding phase.
Ensure constant ongoing understanding of Microsoft Cloud technologies and associated platforms.
Take and pass technical examinations relevant to your role.
Deliver exemplary customer service.

We would also like you to possess the following:
Strong technical knowledge and a willingness to share.
Previous Project Engineering / Consultancy experience desired.
Previous SOC experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience with Azure Active Directory, DNS, Azure Defender, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Azure Sentinel, and Intune, or similar products from other best of breed Security providers.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems.
Linux experience is advantageous, but not required.
Knowledge and experience in networking products and frameworks, such as firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure, WAF, application gateways and the OSI 7-layer model.
Knowledge of Kusto Query Language and PowerShell scripting languages advantageous.
Excellent technical document writing experience (network and traffic flow diagrams, playbook documentation) essential.
Relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
Self-motivated, and organised.
Ability to cope under pressure and prioritise work accordingly.
Ability to work to customer and internal deadlines.
